Assessments

Rocky Mountain Classical Academy has a robust assessment portfolio used to assess students knowledge in a multitude of subject areas.  Our philosophy on assessment is that RMCA uses our student outcomes to influence our instructional practices.  We place value on short and medium term assessment in order to gain the most relevant and actionable data for our students.  All students complete common grade level content assessments throughout the year.

 

RMCA uses DIBELS reading assessment in order to measure literacy skills of K-5 students.  The STAR assessment is used K-8 in order to measure content attainment in Literacy and Math.  All eighth grade students will complete the Classical Learning Test to help determine their overall knowledge gain from thier years at RMCA.  Yearly 3-8 students will complete the Colorado State Assessment (CMAS) in ELA and Math.
