Overview

In second grade, our team welcomes students into a curriculum-rich environment rooted in classical principles. Alongside academic instruction, we intentionally emphasize character development through the Capturing Kids’ Hearts program, fostering respect, responsibility, and strong relationships. In the classroom, students engage in purposeful discussions and hands-on learning within an inclusive and supportive environment. Instruction is further enriched through activities and field trips that deepen students’ understanding of the content outlined in the Core Knowledge Sequence. Students also participate in engaging experiences such as Greek Day, Insect Day, Immigration Day and field trips to the Olympic & Paralympic Museum and Butterfly Pavilion, providing meaningful connections to their studies.
