Special Education Case Manager/Teacher (K-5th)
Hello!
My name is Yelitza Alvarez, and I am the Special Education Resource Case Manager at RMCA. This is my second year with RMCA, and I bring eight years of experience in special education. I’m truly honored to be part of such a dedicated and inspiring team.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, dancing, and supporting my daughter as a proud “gymnastics mom.” When the weather is nice, you’ll often find me outdoors with my two kids, either at the park or out for a walk.
This year, my goal is to continue growing as an educator and to be a strong source of support for both my students and my fellow staff members. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every student feels valued—regardless of their background.

Special Education Paraprofessional (K-5th)
Hello! My name is Debra. This is my 5th year at RMCA and my 10th year as a special education paraprofessional. I love working with children to help them learn and grow. I have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. In addition to working at the school, I teach cardio fitness classes at the gym. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working out, being outdoors and hiking.
Leadworthy Teacher (6th-8th)
My name is Davian Askew. Originally from Georgia, I mostly grew up and attended school in Colorado Springs. I graduated from Colorado College in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Spanish and then UCCS in 2014 with a Master's in Education. I have been with RMCA since 2014 as a K-5 and 6-8 Latin/Spanish teacher (7 years) and then/currently as a 6-8 Leadership teacher and director of the boy's choir. My passion for helping and supporting others and their growth runs deep and I strive to demonstrate it every day and in every way possible.
Facilities Director
John Ballew, is a Project Manager that brings his many years designing, estimating and project managing landscapes to Rocky Mountain Classical Academy.
As the Facilities Director he aims to maintain the building and grounds environment which enhances the ability for staff and students to work and learn.

Ms. Barglowski has been at RMCA since its beginning in 2006, teaching 4th, 1st, and 3rd grade. She has two adult daughters and one granddaughter, Willow. Her second granddaughter, Oaklee, is due August 23rd. When she’s not at school, Ms. B can be found with a good book and cup of tea, enjoying the mountain air, spending time with good friends and family, or occasionally on a trip to France to practice her French and visit past exchange students.
Interventionist (K-5th)
This is my third year at RMCA and my first year as a Reading Interventionist. In previous years, I worked as a lunch aide and teacher’s assistant, which gave me wonderful opportunities to connect with students and support them throughout their school day.
I am a proud military spouse of 12 years and the mom of two children who also attend RMCA. Originally from California, I’ve had the chance to live in Mississippi, Utah, Virginia, and now Colorado. Outside of school, I enjoy camping, spending time with my family, and all things Disney. I am excited to help students grow as readers and discover the joy that comes with learning.

Hello, I am Mrs. Bentley. I have 2 wonderful kids: Elliott, 6 and Charlotte (Charlie), 2 in October. My family and I moved to Colorado Springs in 2020 from Denver, and we love being here. My husband, Andrew, and I love being outdoors with our kids, and love to take our dog, Daisy, on walks. This will be my second year at RMCA, and my 4th year teaching 5th grade. I have previously taught from Pre-school to 10th grade, and have found each age has added to my knowledge and teaching style. I have a bachelors in History and a Masters in Social Studies Education. I am passionate about education, and love to give my students hands-on experiences in the classroom. I encourage my students to explore, ask questions, take risks, and overcome the fear of making mistakes-after all they are how we grow! I expect students to participate, and I plan to ignite a love of learning in each of my students.

Hello! My name is Bailey Bohanon, and this is my first year here at RMCA! I am originally from Texas, and moved to Colorado with my husband in 2022. We have a 4-year-old husky named Mira, who loves car rides. We enjoy going snowboarding, and hope to one day go snowboarding in the Alps. I am eager to learn, grow, and make new connections in this community!
Latin (K-5th), Encore Team Lead
Salve! My name is James Booth, and I am very excited for a new year at RMCA! I grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and I attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a BA in Ancient History and Classics. I taught middle school for four years before moving out to Colorado Springs in 2019, and this is my 7th year teaching Elementary Latin at RMCA. Latin starts in Kindergarten at RMCA, and I have taught many of our students all the way to 5th Grade. Latin is the foundation of English and many other languages, and we spend a good deal of time in class linking the Latin words we learn with the aspects of Roman culture that made them fascinating, like gladiators and chariot racing. I love working with so many grade levels and students because of the different personality types and types of content. Outside of school, I really enjoy reading, mountain biking, hiking, and watching football. I can’t wait for a great year of Latin!

Hi! I am Crystal Bubick, honored to be one of the Instructional Coaches here at RMCA. Not only am I blessed with a beautiful family, a wonderful husband, and daughters who inspire me every day, but I also have the privilege of working with some amazing students and dedicated educators. I am so grateful for our RMCA community. Go Knights! I have three degrees from the University of Denver and have been in education for almost two decades. Colorado is my home. The mountains are my backyard. When I am not at RMCA, you will find me exploring the Rocky Mountains, taking in the symphony of the beautiful Colorado skies, adventuring with my tribe, and chasing sunshine and water.

My name is Kendra Buich and I am so excited to join the RMCA family this year! This will be my 8th year teaching but first year in 3rd grade. I am originally from Kansas and received my degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education from Kansas State University. I come from a long line of teachers and have known I wanted to be a teacher since the 2nd grade. My #1 goal is to foster a classroom community where students feel loved, supported, and eager to come to school each day.
Outside of the classroom, I am blessed with a wonderful husband and our 4 kids ages 13, 11, 8, and 5. Together enjoy attending all of our kids extracurricular activities, family game nights, boating in the summer, skiing in the winter, and traveling any chance we get!

My name is Jordan Bullard. This is my 3rd year teaching Kindergarten at RMCA. I graduated from the University of Maine with my degree in Child Development and have been working with kiddos ranging in age from 6 weeks to 6 years – for the past 15 years! I currently live here in the Springs with my husband, 2 year old daughter and our crazy dog, Merlin. I’m also excited to announce that at the end of this school year, we will be welcoming our second baby girl in March! It’ll be a wild but fun year here at RMCA for sure.
English/Literature Teacher (7th-8th), Middle School Team Lead
I’ve been at RMCA since 2016 and taught 5th grade for seven years before moving up to teach middle school English in 2023. Prior to working at RMCA I worked as a 3rd grade para in District 20 and spent a year running a before and after school program for District 49. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2011. I completed my master’s degree in Library Science in 2015 from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. This fall, I’m hoping to begin another master’s degree in educational leadership at Western Governors University. I spend a lot of time hanging out with my family. I am the oldest of 5 kids. Two of my siblings are married and I have three sweet nephews and one niece (on the way). Even though I grew up in Colorado Springs, I was born in Wisconsin. My family and I are HUGE Green Bay Packer fans. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, taking care of my many houseplants, yoga, and doing arts and craft projects. My favorite subjects are grammar, literature, and history.

Hello! My name is Susan Calvert and I am returning for my second year as a para educator. I have two children who also attend RMCA. I am originally from MD, however have lived in CO since 2016. In my free time you will most likely find me cheering on my kids whether it be baseball, basketball, or gymnastics. I also enjoy traveling with my family whenever possible. I am looking forward to another year working with the middle school. I can’t wait to see what this year has to offer.

My name is Tammie Chasteen, school nurse here at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. I am excited to be returning this year to take care of your children. I am married with four grown children, and seven great grandchildren. I have been doing nursing for over thirty years, and specifically school nursing for over twenty years. I enjoy hiking, traveling and doing medical mission work in Africa. Looking forward to a great school year!

Music Teacher (K-5th)
Hello! I'm Hannah Christensen, and I'm thrilled to be teaching Elementary Music at RMCA this year. I have bachelor's and master's degrees in Music (Clarinet Performance) from Brigham Young University. My prior classroom teaching experience has been at the college level, but I've taught private lessons to elementary-aged students for 15 years and am looking forward to diving into students' early music education. Students can expect Music class to be active and engaging, with an emphasis on providing exposure to great music, a solid basis in music theory, and opportunities to perform. Whatever a student's future brings, a background in music provides brain development, cultural awareness, and poise that will help them be successful.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and our three kids---all RMCA Knights! We love hiking, canoeing, playing board games, and cooking together. Running marathons, reading, and dark chocolate are essential to my sanity. Looking forward to a wonderful year!

Hello there, My name is Valerie Coon, and I’m excited to be part of the team as a Health Paraprofessional. I’m passionate about supporting students and helping create a safe, healthy school environment.
When I’m not at school, you can usually find me building Legos, or diving into the worlds of Star Wars and Harry Potter with my two boys. I love to travel. Our newest obsession is Scotland, can't wait to go back. I'm so excited it's going to be an amazing school year.

My name is Dayna Cooper, and I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy! I’ve been an educator since 2011, beginning my career in New York City as a Special Education teacher, and I have since taught in a variety of settings from preschool to upper Elementary.
I hold a Master of Science in Teaching from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida. My teaching is rooted in joy, structure, and student engagement. I’m passionate about helping students build strong academic foundations while growing in confidence, curiosity, and kindness.
Outside the classroom, I live on a small homestead with my husband and our two sons, Chance and Leland, where we raise sheep and chickens and enjoy exploring the outdoors together. I look forward to a fun and rewarding school year!

Hello!!! My name is Bailey Coulahan. This will be my 8th year of teaching, and my fifth year here at RMCA. I truly love being a part of the RMCA family. I graduated from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and an emphasis in English. My husband (Sean) and I are proud parents to our 5-year-old son, Kyler and our 1-year-old daughter, Marley. In our free time, we enjoy hiking and snowboarding in the mountains. I absolutely love teaching and being with kids. I am so excited for this school year...I have a feeling it's going to be the best one yet!
Business Office Assistant/Guest Teacher Coordinator
Erin Crutcher brings a strong background in student engagement, administrative operations, and organizational leadership to her role as Business Office Assistant at RMCA. Her experience includes enrollment support, program coordination, and school based services. She also draws on an earlier career in web development management, which strengthened her technical skills in data organization and workflow improvement. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Business Management. She has lived in Colorado since 2000 and homeschools her children using a Charlotte Mason and literature based approach.

Hello Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Community. I am honored to serve as the K-3 Assistant Principal at RMCA and to support our students, staff, and families. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and my Master’s in Education Leadership from Regis University. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Clare, and our two daughters, Sophie and Ella. In my free time, I also enjoy playing and watching sports, hiking, and exploring the beautiful Colorado outdoors. Hello my name is Jennifer Cuna.
This is my second year working as a Teacher Assistant, and I truly enjoy being part of the RMCA family . I’m a Colorado native and would never leave this beautiful place. Ive been married to my amazing husband for 14 years. I am a proud mom of three. My oldest daughter will be graduating in May with her nursing degree, my middle daughter is in college pursuing a teaching degree, and my youngest son is in eighth grade here at RMCA. When I’m not running my own business or working at the school, I love spending time with my husband and kids. Especially nights and weekends at a baseball field with my son. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, reading, and of course, coffee!!
Executive Administrative Assistant
This is my fourth school year at RMCA. I started out in November of 2021 as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Principals and the Guest Teacher Coordinator. I have grown to love the family here. This year I was promoted to Executive Assistant, direct support for the Executive Principal and Executive Director. I have a wonderful husband, three loving cats, and a goofy dog who is my protector. My daughter and her family live here in Colorado Springs. My granddaughter turned 16 last December and my grandson turned 13 in January. I love crafting, and crafting, and more crafting…paper crafts, epoxy resin, making jewelry. My husband loves to drive so we do road trips three to four times a year.

I was born and raised in Kentucky, but life as an Army spouse has taken me to Hawaii, Virginia, and now Colorado. My husband serves in the Army, and we have three children, who all attend RMCA.
I hold degrees in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education and bring over 10 years of experience in the field. This is my third year at RMCA, and I feel grateful to be part of such a wonderful community.

I’m thrilled to be in my sixth year at RMCA and my second year teaching fifth grade. I’m also a proud father of two boys who attend school here as well. Outside the classroom, my family and I love taking full advantage of everything Colorado has to offer. We enjoy skiing, dirt biking, hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, and mountain biking. I love teaching history because it’s full of real people, meaningful events, and stories that help us better understand how we got to where we are today. In our classroom, we’ll explore the past through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, writing, and creative projects that bring history to life.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Piper, who we love to spoil every chance we get. I also enjoy reading, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Hello! I’m Mrs. Downs, and I’m excited to be your history teacher this year! This is my sixth year in education and my third year at RMCA. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Middle School Social Studies emphasis from BYU–Idaho in 2017. I’ve taught middle school social studies, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and K–6 STEAM.
My husband, Steve, and I have been married for 10 years. We moved to Colorado six years ago and love calling it home. Our three children attend RMCA as elementary students, and we feel blessed to be part of this school community.
I believe students thrive when teachers and parents work as a team. My goal is to help students understand the story of humanity, appreciate our nation’s history and freedoms, and develop skills that will serve them for life. I look forward to a fantastic year of learning together!

Hello, I'm Veronica. I joined RMCA last September, but before I started, I did substitute work here. I knew this would be a great place to be. I have lived in Colorado for most of my life and I love the mountains, hiking spaces and the weather! I have a sweet chocolate lab, Denali, and we love to go on hikes and long walks. My husband, Joe, and I enjoy traveling to Florida to visit with our young adult kids. Life is an adventure!

My name is Matthew Foster, and I am so excited for this new school year here at RMCA! This is my sixth year here at RMCA, and it is my thirteenth year teaching overall. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but have been living here in Colorado Springs since I was five years old, growing up right down the street from this school. I have my bachelor's degree from UCCS, as well as a master's degree in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. I am a huge Boston and most of Colorado sports fan, especially baseball and hockey (Go Avs!). In my free time I love exploring the outdoors, traveling, especially to National Parks, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with family. I cannot wait to get this school year started!

Hello! My name is Celeste Henley (formerly Francione) and this will be my fourteenth year in education and my twelfth year teaching kindergarten at RMCA! I absolutely love it. I was born in Illinois, but I have lived in Colorado since I was in mid-kindergarten. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa. I love elephants, purple, Pepsi, chocolate, crafting, helping at church, animals, exploring new places, reading, and teaching. I was just married this summer, so exciting things have been happening! Hello! I’m so lucky to be starting my third year at RMCA! I’m so excited to help your students feel welcomed and loved during their first year of school! I graduated from UCCS with my bachelors in Human Services and an emphasis in Social and emotional wellbeing. I’m a huge advocate for making sure every student feels safe, confident, and happy in the school setting. I grew up in a few places but have happily called Colorado Springs home for the last 5 years. I love attending any sports game, an early morning spin class and I will always show up to an event with a home cooked meal or dessert! I can’t wait to get to know you and your little ones this year!

Hi! My name is Anna Hogan and I'm so excited to be an RMCA 5th grade teacher this year. This will be my 4th year teaching. I love getting to build relationships with each and every student and creating a warm environment for students to grow. I like to inspire students to think higher and ask questions. Outside of the classroom I am a mom of four kids, 2 girls and 2 boys. My oldest is in middle school and my youngest is starting Kindie this year. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my kids. Hi! I'm Laura and this is my first year working in the health room as a health assistant. We are a military family originally from Pennsylvania and I have a background in nursing from Penn State University (We Are...Penn State!) Our 2 kids attend RMCA and we love to read, bake, ride bikes, and watch college football together.
Assistant Principal (4th-8th)
Hello, my name is Tanner Humphrey, and I am the Assistant Principal over 4th-8th grade classes. This will be my 9th year at RMCA, and I have been everything from a PE teacher, Athletic Director, Dean of Students, to my current role now as Assistant Principal. This is my second year as an Assistant Principal, but my first year overseeing the Middle School. My Wife and I met in college and have been married for 8 years. We have two boys whom we love and adore so much. My oldest is named Hayes, who is 3 yrs old, and the youngest is named Hank, who was born in May of 2025. I get to bring both boys to work with me every day as they attend the RMCA daycare, and I am beyond blessed for this opportunity. I love RMCA and all of the students and families within it. Hello families, I am in my fifth year of teaching art, and I love helping middle school students explore their creativity. As a mom of three children who have attended or currently attend RMCA, I love our school community and the philosophies we value. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy exploring the Colorado mountains, where I find that being in nature is a refreshing and inspiring way for me to recharge.

Hello! My name is Morgan Jarrell, and I’m thrilled to be part of the RMCA community as a 5th grade teacher. This is my third year teaching 5th grade. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom where every student feels loved and can grow. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four daughters, snowboarding, exploring new places, and DIY projects! Hello! I am Mrs. Joseph, and I am excited to share that this is my fourth year teaching middle school music at RMCA, where I have worked for a total of seven years. I serve as the conductor of our two orchestras, the director of the girls' choir, and the drama club director. I am passionate about working with middle school students and take great joy in witnessing their accomplishments!
Science Teacher (7th-8th)
David Kagarise is a graduate of Mitchell High School (1983) and has been teaching since 2008. He spent ten years at James Irwin Charter High School (2008–2018), where he taught Computer Science, Science, Math, and Physical Education, and also served as the varsity softball coach from 2012–2018. From 2018–2025, he continued his teaching career at Sierra High School before joining RMCA.
In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Kagarise has been extensively involved in athletics. He has officiated high school football and basketball, umpired youth baseball and adult slow-pitch softball, and most recently served as the head coach of a Sierra D2 Middle School football team in 2024.
He is the proud father of three adult children: Jonas (28), Brittany (26), and Nicholas (25). Brittany currently serves in the United States Navy, while Jonas and Nicholas are pursuing their college degrees. Mr. Kagarise is honored to bring his experience and passion for teaching to RMCA and is very excited to be part of the community.

I’m so excited to continue teaching 1st Grade at RMCA! First grade is truly my favorite—there’s something so special about this year of learning and growth, and I love being part of it.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and have had the joy of teaching both primary and intermediate grade levels. While I’ve appreciated each experience, I’ve discovered that 1st grade has my heart.

Hello! My name is Tess Kelly and this is my first year at RMCA. I am honored and excited for the opportunity to create a safe, loving, and fun learning environment for your students. I have lived in Colorado my entire life and am so glad that I landed in Colorado Springs; I think it is the best city in Colorado! When I am not teaching you can find me paddle boarding, hiking, reading at a local coffee shop, or cozying up to watch a good movie. I look forward to a great year in 2nd grade!
Executive Principal
Amber Kettinger serves as the Executive Principal at RMCA, bringing a decade of dedicated experience to the school community. Over the past ten years, Amber has held a variety of pivotal roles within RMCA, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, dean, and various administrative positions, culminating in her current leadership role.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Amber pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida, earning degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. My husband and I enjoy having our youngest son and his family here in Colorado Springs with us. Our two granddaughters attend RMCA, and I am so very grateful to be at school with them. This is my first year at RMCA. My family relocated to Colorado from San Diego in 2023 where my husband is stationed at Peterson Space Force Base. Prior to joining RMCA, I spent a decade in the solar industry, where I gained extensive experience in operations and process management which I look forward to applying these skills in an educational setting. Both of my children are enrolled at RMCA, and our family is rounded out by a one-year-old Boston Terrier.

Hello, my name is Debi Spencer and I have been teaching at RMCA for the past 6 years as a Gifted Education teacher but am excited to be working in a new role as the Learning Services Instructional Coach. I have a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and a Masters in Education. I have a wonderful husband and two adult children that I love to spend time with whether it’s camping, biking, watching movies or just being together. If I am not with my family, then you will probably find me at the dance studio choreographing for the dance team at Dance Unlimited. Greetings! I am excited to be back for my fourth year as a kindergarten teacher at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. I fell in love with the RMCA family while substituting for a kindergarten class in 2022 and I love working with our youngest elementary Knights and new families! My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs in 2018 from Texas; we have two elderly cats, two wild huskies, and a tiny toddler who attends the nursery at here RMCA. We love being a part of the RMCA community!

Hello! My name is Kalene Theis and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade! This is my 2nd year at RMCA, and my 7th year of teaching. I’ve had a passion for teaching since I was a little girl, and it truly feels like a dream come true to be able to cultivate learning in a safe, loving, and fun environment. I have 3 wonderful kids of my own who are 5, 3, and 3 years old. When I’m not teaching, you can find me building legos with my kids, reading a good book, or hiking in our beautiful state. I’m looking forward to another amazing year in 2nd grade!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be back at RMCA for another wonderful year of Kindergarten. This will be my third year at RMCA, and my ninth year teaching. I'm thankful to work at such a terrific school, and I cannot wait to work with you to help ensure your kiddos first year in school is an amazing one! It's an honor I do not take lightly.
I have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and my undergrad is in Elementary Education from Washington State University. Go Cougs! I love reading, hiking, college football, Crossfit, and trying to keep up with my two kiddos (who also go to RMCA!). The Space Force moved us and my husband here in 2021, and I never want to leave!

I am a United States Army veteran who served 30 years on active duty and retired as a Sergeant Major. Now I have the privilege of serving as the Business Operations Manager for Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. My hobbies include coaching baseball, attending Rockies games, and spending time with my family. My personal goals are to visit every NBA and MLB stadium; my professional goal is to obtain my master’s in educational administration. My education includes a Master of Science in Management with a Concentration in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Arts in Management with a Concentration in Leadership, Executive Leadership School, Senior-Level Leadership and Management Course, Human Resource Specialist Course, and Human Behavior Leadership Certification.
Interventionist (K-5th)
Hello, I am Latoya Warner. I am a dedicated Literacy Interventionist currently in my fourth academic year, passionate about helping students grow into confident, capable readers. Originally from Georgia, I’ve called Colorado home for the past 15 years and have developed a deep appreciation for both mountain views and snow boots.
Outside of work, I enjoy weight lifting, beach vacations (the ocean is my happy place), and spending time with my wonderful family. I’m married to an incredible husband, and we’re proud parents to a bright, curious middle schooler. We also share our home with Ocean, our adorably spoiled dog.
Interventionist (K-5th)
My name is Margaret "Maggie" Warren. I am returning to RMCA as a reading interventionist after being away for about two years. Previously I was here for six years. My favorite author is Kate diCamillo. My favorite color is purple. I have lived in Colorado Springs since 2010. In my spare time I enjoy taking my dog for walks and spending time with family and friends.
Financial Literacy Teacher (6th-8th)
I am thrilled to be in my second year at RMCA and my third year of teaching overall. With a business degree and currently pursuing my master's in education, I am passionate about empowering students with financial literacy skills that set the foundation for their futures. Originally from Kansas City, I now proudly call Colorado my home, where I enjoy life with my three children and an exciting addition on the way! I absolutely love being part of the RMCA community and look forward to another fantastic year!
P.E. Teacher (6th-8th)
Mr. Webber has been teaching for 12 years. Originally from Florida, he moved from Gainesville with his wife Kristie in 2015. His hobbies include skiing, playing music, competing in team games like volleyball and kickball, and hanging out with his Labrador named Grits.

I'm the director here at RMCA Preschool, where I've had the pleasure of working for the past 7 years. With 20 years of experience teaching early education, spanning preschool through second grade, I am deeply passionate about fostering young minds. Outside of work, I’m a proud parent of four kids aged 8 to 18 and share my life with a wonderful husband. When I’m not at RMCA, you’ll find me baking, running, or enjoying quality time with family and friends.
Special Education Case Manager/Teacher (6th-8th)
My name is Emily Woodhouse, this will be my 9th year as a special education teacher; my 4th year as a special education case manager/teacher in middle school at RMCA. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM where I graduated from the University of New Mexico with dual certification in Special Ed & General Ed. K-12. My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs 6 years ago, we enjoy hiking with our dogs, playing pickleball and paddle boarding. A fun fact about me is that I am fluent in ASL: American Sign Language. I'm looking forward to a great year!
