Executive Principal
Amber Kettinger serves as the Executive Principal at RMCA, bringing a decade of dedicated experience to the school community. Over the past ten years, Amber has held a variety of pivotal roles within RMCA, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, dean, and various administrative positions, culminating in her current leadership role.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Amber pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida, earning degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. She later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, Tampa campus, and furthered her expertise with a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.
Amber is married to a helicopter pilot in the United States Army Reserves, who also works as a civilian Air Traffic Controller in Colorado Springs. They are proud parents to two wonderful children, Mackenzie and Jackson, who are actively involved in sports and community volunteering. As a family, they cherish time outdoors, enjoy attending sporting events, and love traveling the world to immerse themselves in new cultures and create lasting memories.
Executive Director
I am a United States Army veteran who served 30 years on active duty and retired as a Sergeant Major. Now I have the privilege of serving as the Business Operations Manager for Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. My hobbies include coaching baseball, attending Rockies games, and spending time with my family. My personal goals are to visit every NBA and MLB stadium; my professional goal is to obtain my master’s in educational administration. My education includes a Master of Science in Management with a Concentration in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Arts in Management with a Concentration in Leadership, Executive Leadership School, Senior-Level Leadership and Management Course, Human Resource Specialist Course, and Human Behavior Leadership Certification.
Executive Administrative Assistant
This is my fourth school year at RMCA. I started out in November of 2021 as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Principals and the Guest Teacher Coordinator. I have grown to love the family here. This year I was promoted to Executive Assistant, direct support for the Executive Principal and Executive Director. I have a wonderful husband, three loving cats, and a goofy dog who is my protector. My daughter and her family live here in Colorado Springs. My granddaughter turned 16 last December and my grandson turned 13 in January. I love crafting, and crafting, and more crafting…paper crafts, epoxy resin, making jewelry. My husband loves to drive so we do road trips three to four times a year.

Hello Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Community. I am honored to serve as the K-3 Assistant Principal at RMCA and to support our students, staff, and families. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and my Master’s in Education Leadership from Regis University. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Clare, and our two daughters, Sophie and Ella. In my free time, I also enjoy playing and watching sports, hiking, and exploring the beautiful Colorado outdoors. Assistant Principal (4th-8th)
Hello, my name is Tanner Humphrey, and I am the Assistant Principal over 4th-8th grade classes. This will be my 9th year at RMCA, and I have been everything from a PE teacher, Athletic Director, Dean of Students, to my current role now as Assistant Principal. This is my second year as an Assistant Principal, but my first year overseeing the Middle School. My Wife and I met in college and have been married for 8 years. We have two boys whom we love and adore so much. My oldest is named Hayes, who is 3 yrs old, and the youngest is named Hank, who was born in May of 2025. I get to bring both boys to work with me every day as they attend the RMCA daycare, and I am beyond blessed for this opportunity. I love RMCA and all of the students and families within it. Greetings!! My name is Gregg McNabb. I am in my second year at RMCA! I relocated to Colorado Springs from Rapid City, SD. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris in Elementary Education and my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from South Dakota State University. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs, I was a Middle School Assistant Principal for three (3) years and an Elementary Principal for twelve (12) years. I am the proud parent of four (4) amazing adult children. My two oldest children live in the Denver area, my youngest son is studying Cyber Forensics at Dakota State in Madison, SD and my youngest daughter plays basketball at The Air Force Academy. I am thrilled to be part of the RMCA Family.

Hello! My name is Kayla Lewis and I am so excited to be serving as the K-4 Dean of Students at RMCA. I am a proud Air Force wife and mom to a knight in training. I have an undergraduate degree in Special Education from Clemson University, and a Master’s in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from UNLV. My professional experience includes many years as a special education teacher in a variety of settings, a behavior specialist and special education facilitator. Outside of school I love hiking, baking cakes, cheering for Clemson football and traveling.

Hello! My name is LaDonna Lattimore and I served in the Air Force for 20 years and I am now happily retired. This is my 1st year at RMCA as the Middle School Resource teacher, and my 3rd year working as a Special Education teacher, but I have taught for 8 years in the military. I love the Lord and I love traveling. My passion is teaching and empowering kids and I look forward to working with teachers and administrators this year.

Hello! My name is Madison Shrum, and this is my second year at RMCA. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and am currently in my final semester of graduate school where I am earning my Master’s Degree in School Counseling, both from Adams State University.
When I’m not at RMCA or working on my own school work, I love to cook, read, and hike. I’m originally from Southern California, and I moved to Colorado Springs a little over a year ago with my husband, Jarrett, and have loved every minute of it.

Counselor (K-8th)
I have been a school counselor since 2003. I am currently retired but still privileged to continue at RMCA as a part-time school counselor. My primary responsibility is coordinating 504 Plans. I also support our elementary and middle school counselors. Born in CA, raised in HI, I have now lived in Colorado Springs since 1993. My husband and I enjoy having our youngest son and his family here in Colorado Springs with us. Our two granddaughters attend RMCA, and I am so very grateful to be at school with them. I LOVE being part of the RMCA family!! I feel honored and blessed!!
Early Education Director
I'm the director here at RMCA Preschool, where I've had the pleasure of working for the past 7 years. With 20 years of experience teaching early education, spanning preschool through second grade, I am deeply passionate about fostering young minds. Outside of work, I’m a proud parent of four kids aged 8 to 18 and share my life with a wonderful husband. When I’m not at RMCA, you’ll find me baking, running, or enjoying quality time with family and friends.
Human Resources Director
Originally from Tampa, Florida, my family and I are currently assigned to Peterson Space Force Base, where I live with my husband of 16 years and our two children. We are proud to be part of the RMCA community—both of our children, now ages 14 and 7, have attended the school, with our oldest recently graduating. Their positive experiences, both academically and through extracurricular involvement, have deeply connected our family to the RMCA mission.
I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education from Auburn University and currently work in the field of Human Resources. My background in education, combined with my HR experience, has shaped a deep commitment to supporting people, fostering inclusive and healthy workplace cultures, and building strong connections across teams and communities.
Since relocating to Colorado, my family and I have developed a strong appreciation for the area's beauty and sense of community. We look forward to establishing permanent roots here and beginning the next chapter of our journey together.

John Ballew, is a Project Manager that brings his many years designing, estimating and project managing landscapes to Rocky Mountain Classical Academy.
As the Facilities Director he aims to maintain the building and grounds environment which enhances the ability for staff and students to work and learn.

My name is Raeli Mossbrucker and this is my second year as the K-3 instructional coach at RMCA. I spent four years in the classroom at RMCA and loved every second of it. This is my 7th year in education and I am extremely passionate about supporting both teachers and students. I truly enjoy helping teachers create an inclusive learning environment that is interactive, hands-on and conducive to all students. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband and two little ones. We spend most of our free time traveling, checking out local venues and attending sporting events. I am excited for a great school year!

Hi! I am Crystal Bubick, honored to be one of the Instructional Coaches here at RMCA. Not only am I blessed with a beautiful family, a wonderful husband, and daughters who inspire me every day, but I also have the privilege of working with some amazing students and dedicated educators. I am so grateful for our RMCA community. Go Knights! I have three degrees from the University of Denver and have been in education for almost two decades. Colorado is my home. The mountains are my backyard. When I am not at RMCA, you will find me exploring the Rocky Mountains, taking in the symphony of the beautiful Colorado skies, adventuring with my tribe, and chasing sunshine and water.
Instructional Coach (Learning Services)
Hello, my name is Debi Spencer and I have been teaching at RMCA for the past 6 years as a Gifted Education teacher but am excited to be working in a new role as the Learning Services Instructional Coach. I have a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and a Masters in Education. I have a wonderful husband and two adult children that I love to spend time with whether it’s camping, biking, watching movies or just being together. If I am not with my family, then you will probably find me at the dance studio choreographing for the dance team at Dance Unlimited. I have also been a professional dancer touring with Broadway musicals, dancing at Walt Disney World and many other shows. The one thing that I have enjoyed the most over the past 25 years, is teaching children!

Hello! My name is Bailey Bohanon, and this is my first year here at RMCA! I am originally from Texas, and moved to Colorado with my husband in 2022. We have a 4-year-old husky named Mira, who loves car rides. We enjoy going snowboarding, and hope to one day go snowboarding in the Alps. I am eager to learn, grow, and make new connections in this community!
Front Office Assistant
I’m proud to serve as the Front Office Assistant. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Business, and I love being part of a school community where I can help create a warm and welcoming environment for students, families, and staff. I'm a proud mom, outside of work and school, life is full and fun with my daughter Valentina, who is on a competitive dance team. As a family, we enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors.
Business Office Assistant/Guest Teacher Coordinator
Erin Crutcher brings a strong background in student engagement, administrative operations, and organizational leadership to her role as Business Office Assistant at RMCA. Her experience includes enrollment support, program coordination, and school based services. She also draws on an earlier career in web development management, which strengthened her technical skills in data organization and workflow improvement. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Business Management. She has lived in Colorado since 2000 and homeschools her children using a Charlotte Mason and literature based approach.

This is my first year at RMCA. My family relocated to Colorado from San Diego in 2023 where my husband is stationed at Peterson Space Force Base. Prior to joining RMCA, I spent a decade in the solar industry, where I gained extensive experience in operations and process management which I look forward to applying these skills in an educational setting. Both of my children are enrolled at RMCA, and our family is rounded out by a one-year-old Boston Terrier.
Armed Security Guard
My name is John Perry. I am from Virginia and moved to Colorado Springs nine years ago to take care of my family. I have been with RMCA for seven years as the school safety officer with over 40 years of experience in security, and law enforcement. I have my wife Cristi of 23 years, my stepson Chandler, and my two fur family members, Fancy and Jibboo. I enjoy riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Plus I am an avid gun enthusiast who enjoys shooting at the gun range. I also enjoy hunting and fishing and hanging out with my friends and family. I collect sports cards and memorabilia. I am a Christian. I like pizza and tacos and many other types of food. I enjoy watching college football. I graduated Woodbridge Senior High school when I lettered in Football, baseball, and track. I absolutely love working with kids, and I am dedicated to keeping them safe during the school day. I am proud of what I do and look forward to coming to work every single morning. My name is Yelitza Alvarez, and I am the Special Education Resource Case Manager at RMCA. This is my second year with RMCA, and I bring eight years of experience in special education. I’m truly honored to be part of such a dedicated and inspiring team.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, dancing, and supporting my daughter as a proud “gymnastics mom.” When the weather is nice, you’ll often find me outdoors with my two kids, either at the park or out for a walk.

I have a service dog named Aislinn (Ash-lyn) who is my K9 partner and helps mitigate my disabilities. I was born and raised in Houston, TX, and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2016 with a Major in Dance and Minors in Secondary Education and Special Education. My husband, Danny, is in the army and stationed at Ft. Carson. I have 3 cats (2 which are sphynx), and 5 guinea pigs (4 which are skinny pigs). I absolutely love The Peanuts and roosters/chickens. I used to be a professional ballerina, so I love involving movement with learning!

My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs 6 years ago, we enjoy hiking with our dogs, playing pickleball and paddle boarding. A fun fact about me is that I am fluent in ASL: American Sign Language. This is my third year at RMCA and my first year as a Reading Interventionist. In previous years, I worked as a lunch aide and teacher’s assistant, which gave me wonderful opportunities to connect with students and support them throughout their school day.
I am a proud military spouse of 12 years and the mom of two children who also attend RMCA. Originally from California, I’ve had the chance to live in Mississippi, Utah, Virginia, and now Colorado. Hey there! I’m Danielle Pieper, and I’m thrilled to be stepping into a new adventure in Middle School after seven amazing years teaching first grade. Watching those little learners blossom into confident young adults has been amazing, and I can’t wait to support them as they continue to grow academically and personally.
Outside the classroom, my family and I are passionate explorers! We love hitting the road to discover our National Parks—and we never pass up the chance to wander through a ghost town or two. I’m also a big fan of treasure hunting through thrift shops and antique stores, diving into genealogy, and getting creative with a paintbrush.

Originally from Georgia, I’ve called Colorado home for the past 15 years and have developed a deep appreciation for both mountain views and snow boots.

My name is Ms. Kayla Lehr (L-air). This is my 7th year teaching at RMCA. I taught Pre-K at Pikes Peak Community College and The University of Colorado Colorado Springs for 3 years. I taught 2nd grade for 5 years here at RMCA. This year I am very excited to start my 2nd year in Gifted and Talented and it is a privilege to have your children entrusted to me daily. I have an amazing husband and three rambunctious boys (ages 12, 13, & 17)! We enjoy the outdoors and binge watching the newest shows on Netflix! I have been married to my amazing husband for 16 years and have 3 incredible children. I enjoy watching and supporting my children in all their extra-curricular activities. My children all participate in different competitive sports that include Gymkhana horse competitions, baseball, softball, soccer, and volleyball. When we are not at a sports event our family loves to spend time together boating, camping, hiking, exploring Colorado, and making memories together. I am looking forward to a great year at RMCA.

My name is Jordan Bullard. This is my 3rd and last year teaching Kindergarten at RMCA. Army life took us here to Colorado a few years ago but at the end of this year, my family will be heading back home to Maine. I graduated from the University of Maine with my degree in Child Development and have been working with kiddos ranging in age from 6 weeks to 6 years – for the past 15 years! I currently live here in the Springs with my husband, 2 year old daughter and our crazy dog, Merlin. I’m also excited to announce that at the end of this school year, we will be welcoming our second baby girl in March! It’ll be a wild but fun last year here at RMCA for sure.

Hello! My name is Celeste Henley (formerly Francione) and this will be my fourteenth year in education and my twelfth year teaching kindergarten at RMCA! I absolutely love it. I was born in Illinois, but I have lived in Colorado since I was in mid-kindergarten. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa. I love elephants, purple, Pepsi, chocolate, crafting, helping at church, animals, exploring new places, reading, and teaching. I was just married this summer, so exciting things have been happening! I graduated from UCCS with my bachelors in Human Services and an emphasis in Social and emotional wellbeing. Hi! I'm excited to be back teaching kindergarten this year; this will be my second year! Prior to kinder, I taught preschool for many years, including preschool here at RMCA. I have my Masters in Early Childhood Education and my undergrad is in English Lit. Duke is my favorite college team, especially when it comes to basketball! I love watching all kinds of sports, but basketball, soccer, and football are my favorites. Zumba and lifting weights are some of the things I enjoy, as well as putting puzzles together and spending time with friends and family! Greetings! I am excited to be back for my fourth year as a kindergarten teacher at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. My name is Dayna Cooper, and I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy! I’ve been an educator since 2011, beginning my career in New York City as a Special Education teacher, and I have since taught in a variety of settings from preschool to upper Elementary.
I hold a Master of Science in Teaching from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida. My teaching is rooted in joy, structure, and student engagement. I’m passionate about helping students build strong academic foundations while growing in confidence, curiosity, and kindness.
Outside the classroom, I live on a small homestead with my husband and our two sons, Chance and Leland, where we raise sheep and chickens and enjoy exploring the outdoors together. I look forward to a fun and rewarding school year!

Hello! My name is Theresa Osborn, and I’m thrilled to be teaching first grade at RMCA. With many years of experience in education, I’ve had the joy of teaching special education, first, and second grade in Fort Collins, Colorado. I also taught preschool in Michigan for many years. This is my 8th year at RMCA, and I truly enjoy being part of this dedicated and supportive community.

My name is Kendra Buich and I am so excited to join the RMCA family this year! This will be my 8th year teaching but first year in 3rd grade. I am originally from Kansas and received my degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education from Kansas State University. I come from a long line of teachers and have known I wanted to be a teacher since the 2nd grade. My #1 goal is to foster a classroom community where students feel loved, supported, and eager to come to school each day.

I love my job because I have seen how confidence-boosting and impactful education is in shaping how people view themselves and the world around them. Hello, I am Mrs. Bentley. I have 2 wonderful kids: Elliott, 6 and Charlotte (Charlie), 2 in October. My family and I moved to Colorado Springs in 2020 from Denver, and we love being here. My husband, Andrew, and I love being outdoors with our kids, and love to take our dog, Daisy, on walks. This will be my second year at RMCA, and my 4th year teaching 5th grade. I have previously taught from Pre-school to 10th grade, and have found each age has added to my knowledge and teaching style. I have a bachelors in History and a Masters in Social Studies Education. I am passionate about education, and love to give my students hands-on experiences in the classroom. I encourage my students to explore, ask questions, take risks, and overcome the fear of making mistakes-after all they are how we grow! I expect students to participate, and I plan to ignite a love of learning in each of my students.

Salve! My name is James Booth, and I am very excited for a new year at RMCA! I grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and I attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a BA in Ancient History and Classics. I taught middle school for four years before moving out to Colorado Springs in 2019, and this is my 7th year teaching Elementary Latin at RMCA. Latin starts in Kindergarten at RMCA, and I have taught many of our students all the way to 5th Grade. Latin is the foundation of English and many other languages, and we spend a good deal of time in class linking the Latin words we learn with the aspects of Roman culture that made them fascinating, like gladiators and chariot racing. I love working with so many grade levels and students because of the different personality types and types of content. Outside of school, I really enjoy reading, mountain biking, hiking, and watching football. I can’t wait for a great year of Latin!

Hello! I'm Hannah Christensen, and I'm thrilled to be teaching Elementary Music at RMCA this year. I have bachelor's and master's degrees in Music (Clarinet Performance) from Brigham Young University. My prior classroom teaching experience has been at the college level, but I've taught private lessons to elementary-aged students for 15 years and am looking forward to diving into students' early music education. Students can expect Music class to be active and engaging, with an emphasis on providing exposure to great music, a solid basis in music theory, and opportunities to perform. Whatever a student's future brings, a background in music provides brain development, cultural awareness, and poise that will help them be successful.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and our three kids---all RMCA Knights! We love hiking, canoeing, playing board games, and cooking together. Running marathons, reading, and dark chocolate are essential to my sanity. Looking forward to a wonderful year!

I’ve been at RMCA since 2016 and taught 5th grade for seven years before moving up to teach middle school English in 2023. Prior to working at RMCA I worked as a 3rd grade para in District 20 and spent a year running a before and after school program for District 49. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2011. I completed my master’s degree in Library Science in 2015 from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. This fall, I’m hoping to begin another master’s degree in educational leadership at Western Governors University. I spend a lot of time hanging out with my family. I am the oldest of 5 kids. Two of my siblings are married and I have three sweet nephews and one niece (on the way). Even though I grew up in Colorado Springs, I was born in Wisconsin. My family and I are HUGE Green Bay Packer fans. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, taking care of my many houseplants, yoga, and doing arts and craft projects. My favorite subjects are grammar, literature, and history.

I love teaching history because it’s full of real people, meaningful events, and stories that help us better understand how we got to where we are today. In our classroom, we’ll explore the past through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, writing, and creative projects that bring history to life.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Piper, who we love to spoil every chance we get. I also enjoy reading, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Hello! I’m Mrs. Downs, and I’m excited to be your history teacher this year! This is my sixth year in education and my third year at RMCA. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Middle School Social Studies emphasis from BYU–Idaho in 2017. I’ve taught middle school social studies, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and K–6 STEAM.
My husband, Steve, and I have been married for 10 years. We moved to Colorado six years ago and love calling it home. Our three children attend RMCA as elementary students, and we feel blessed to be part of this school community.
I believe students thrive when teachers and parents work as a team. My goal is to help students understand the story of humanity, appreciate our nation’s history and freedoms, and develop skills that will serve them for life. I look forward to a fantastic year of learning together!
Science Teacher (7th-8th)
David Kagarise is a graduate of Mitchell High School (1983) and has been teaching since 2008. He spent ten years at James Irwin Charter High School (2008–2018), where he taught Computer Science, Science, Math, and Physical Education, and also served as the varsity softball coach from 2012–2018. From 2018–2025, he continued his teaching career at Sierra High School before joining RMCA.
In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Kagarise has been extensively involved in athletics. He has officiated high school football and basketball, umpired youth baseball and adult slow-pitch softball, and most recently served as the head coach of a Sierra D2 Middle School football team in 2024.
He is the proud father of three adult children: Jonas (28), Brittany (26), and Nicholas (25). Brittany currently serves in the United States Navy, while Jonas and Nicholas are pursuing their college degrees. Mr. Kagarise is honored to bring his experience and passion for teaching to RMCA and is very excited to be part of the community.

My name is Davian Askew. Originally from Georgia, I mostly grew up and attended school in Colorado Springs. I graduated from Colorado College in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Spanish and then UCCS in 2014 with a Master's in Education. I have been with RMCA since 2014 as a K-5 and 6-8 Latin/Spanish teacher (7 years) and then/currently as a 6-8 Leadership teacher and director of the boy's choir. My passion for helping and supporting others and their growth runs deep and I strive to demonstrate it every day and in every way possible.

My name is Matthew Foster, and I am so excited for this new school year here at RMCA! This is my sixth year here at RMCA, and it is my thirteenth year teaching overall. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but have been living here in Colorado Springs since I was five years old, growing up right down the street from this school. I have my bachelor's degree from UCCS, as well as a master's degree in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. I am a huge Boston and most of Colorado sports fan, especially baseball and hockey (Go Avs!). In my free time I love exploring the outdoors, traveling, especially to National Parks, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with family. I cannot wait to get this school year started!

My name is Liliana Saucedo, and I recently relocated to Colorado after residing in Texas. This is my second year at RMCA and also my second year teaching Middle School Spanish. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and bring over seven years of experience in bilingual education. I am passionate about teaching and dedicated to supporting students in their journey of acquiring a new language, while fostering both academic growth and cultural appreciation.

I am thrilled to be in my second year at RMCA and my third year of teaching overall. With a business degree and currently pursuing my master's in education, I am passionate about empowering students with financial literacy skills that set the foundation for their futures. Originally from Kansas City, I now proudly call Colorado my home, where I enjoy life with my three children and an exciting addition on the way! Mr. Webber has been teaching for 12 years. Originally from Florida, he moved from Gainesville with his wife Kristie in 2015. His hobbies include skiing, playing music, competing in team games like volleyball and kickball, and hanging out with his Labrador named Grits.

Hi, My name is Sarah MacLean, and I'm excited to be here for my 9th year as a teacher's assistant at RMCA. I'm looking forward to a new role this year doing story and craft time for kindergarten and first grade. Reading is near and dear to me, and I can't wait to see your children grow in their reading skills and hopefully develop the love of books as much as I love them. ❤️ I have been married 18 years to an awesome husband and have 2 girls, one 14 and one 16. They will both be in high school this year. We have a dog and cat, Max and Taffy. We love hanging out as a family, playing board games, going mini golfing, hiking, biking, camping, and being outdoors. We also love to travel when and if we can. I am a teacher in the pre-K class at my church and was able to help with a local missions event this summer. I'm blessed to be a part of the RMCA team again this year and look forward to getting to know all of kindergarten and first grade!

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Community and Commercial Recreation from Chico State University, and I have always had a passion for working with children. My husband and I have been married for almost 14 years, and we are the proud parents of two amazing sons who will be entering 5th and 8th grade at RMCA. Outside of work, I enjoy coffee, cooking and baking, gardening, camping, traveling, and—most of all—spending quality time with my family!

I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Justin, for 19 years. Our two sons attend RMCA. Our oldest son is starting middle school and our youngest son is entering 5th grade. In my free time I enjoy having lunch with friends, reading, and watching my sons play baseball.

This is my second year working as a Teacher Assistant, and I truly enjoy being part of the RMCA family . I’m a Colorado native and would never leave this beautiful place. Ive been married to my amazing husband for 14 years. I am a proud mom of three. My oldest daughter will be graduating in May with her nursing degree, my middle daughter is in college pursuing a teaching degree, and my youngest son is in eighth grade here at RMCA. When I’m not running my own business or working at the school, I love spending time with my husband and kids. Especially nights and weekends at a baseball field with my son. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, reading, and of course, coffee!!

Hi, my name is Melissa Cornelius! I have worked in the front office and taken care of enrollment at RMCA Preschool for the last 6 years. My family has been a part of RMCA since 2010, all three of my kids graduated from here. My hobbies include reading (mostly fantasy and sci-fi), hiking, and photography. I love working in the preschool, this is by far my favorite job I have ever had!

I’m the youngest of five children and I was the first of my siblings to graduate with a degree from college. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 16 years and we have an amazing set of boy/girl twins in 6th grade. I would like to be brave enough to finish and publish children’s books. If I can find a way to work in a quote from any movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, I will. American buffalo are my favorite animal and if I could be a bird, I would be a flamingo. This is my second year here at RMCA and my second year in full time education! I have my BA in Inclusive Early Childhood Education and I love getting to do what I love here at RMCA Preschool. I love animals I have 6 pets at home: two dogs, two cats, and two guinea pigs. I also love to travel. If I could move anywhere outside of the US it would be to England or the Netherlands, I love both places a lot. Outside of work hours you will find me in my bed cuddling my cat watching whatever show I am hooked on at that moment, which has been 9-1-1 as of late. I have taken Early Childhood Education classes at PPSC and have previously worked in another childcare setting for 2 years. Hello, I am Kristin Jessen and I have been working at RMCA since 2021. I have been married for 18 years to my wonderful husband and we have two teenage boys who keep us very busy with soccer, karate and acting. When we have free time, we enjoy playing board games, watching movies, building Legos and family time. Our favorite vacations are Disney, Universal Studios, and just relaxing at the beach. I enjoy teaching preschool because this is a fun age to watch children grow: socially, emotionally, and academically. It is so enjoyable seeing a child's eyes light up when they learn something new, make a new friend, or successfully complete a difficult task.

I am an early childhood educator with 26 years of experience and a deep passion for supporting young children and their development. I hold an associate’s degree in early childhood education and am currently completing my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Hola!!! My name is Claudia Lopez and this is my 7th year here at RMCA. I was born and raised in Mexico City. My first language is Spanish. I have the best husband in the world and together we have 5 amazing and wonderful children, ranging in age from 24 to 6 months. We are a military family, my husband served in the Army for 14 years. I have been coaching middle school cross country for 7 years now. I feel super blessed and grateful to be able to teach and coach here at RMCA. I love our preschoolers' imagination and humble hearts, and believe that preschool age is the perfect age to introduce a second language. I love this quote by Charlemagne:
