Originally from Tampa, Florida, my family and I are currently assigned to Peterson Space Force Base, where I live with my husband of 16 years and our two children. We are proud to be part of the RMCA community—both of our children, now ages 14 and 7, have attended the school, with our oldest recently graduating. Their positive experiences, both academically and through extracurricular involvement, have deeply connected our family to the RMCA mission. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education from Auburn University and currently work in the field of Human Resources. My background in education, combined with my HR experience, has shaped a deep commitment to supporting people, fostering inclusive and healthy workplace cultures, and building strong connections across teams and communities. Since relocating to Colorado, my family and I have developed a strong appreciation for the area's beauty and sense of community. We look forward to establishing permanent roots here and beginning the next chapter of our journey together.

I joined RMCA in 2019 and currently serve as the Human Resources Administrator. Originally from New Orleans, I earned a B.S. in Geology from Texas Christian University and previously taught high school science electives in Texas. After serving as the Registrar at RMCA, I transitioned into human resources, where I found fulfillment in fostering workplace culture and strengthening organizational processes. My SHRM-CP certification has strengthened my capabilities and expertise in human resources. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, fitness, reading, and traveling.

John Ballew, is a Project Manager that brings his many years designing, estimating and project managing landscapes to Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. As the Facilities Director he aims to maintain the building and grounds environment which enhances the ability for staff and students to work and learn.

Hello! My name is Bailey Bohanon, and this is my first year here at RMCA! I am originally from Texas, and moved to Colorado with my husband in 2022. We have a 4-year-old husky named Mira, who loves car rides. We enjoy going snowboarding, and hope to one day go snowboarding in the Alps. I am eager to learn, grow, and make new connections in this community!

I'm a native of Colorado, residing primarily in Colorado Springs. My two children have attended Rocky Mountain Classical Academy for the past several years, and it has been a great experience for our family. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, children, extended family, and friends. I love Escape Rooms, playing board games, listening to music, and exploring new places through travel.

Hello! I am the Events and Marketing Coordinator here at RMCA and this will be my 3rd school year working with this community. I have been creating fun and memorable events for the majority of my career and I love that I get to share my passion with the amazing RMCA staff and families. Hello, my name is Rachelle Sankovich. I am the Food Service Manager at RMCA. My husband and I have two children, one who attended RMCA from kindergarten all the way through 8th grade and one that still attends. My family has three very spoiled pets, a house bunny and two guinea pigs. Our family loves to hike, put together puzzles and play board games. I love good books, gardening, and birdwatching.

Hello, I'm Veronica. I joined RMCA last September, but before I started, I did substitute work here. I knew this would be a great place to be. I have lived in Colorado for most of my life and I love the mountains, hiking spaces and the weather! I have a sweet chocolate lab, Denali, and we love to go on hikes and long walks. My husband, Joe, and I enjoy traveling to Florida to visit with our young adult kids. Life is an adventure!

Hello, I am 21 years old and new to RMCA. I have many interests in all things creative, from dabbling in traditional sketching to spending hours on an Ipad drawing digitally, it all follows up to my love of animation and graphic design. In the future, I hope to get into real animation and storytelling as a career. My core inspirations are the Studio Ghibli films and the Final Fantasy videogames series.

I have been with RMCA since October 2023. I am an Air Force veteran (Medical Services) and have had the opportunity to live in two overseas locations (Japan and Germany) and visit nine other countries. I am married to an Air Force veteran, have two children and a dog. As a family we enjoy camping, hiking, movies, reading and gardening.

My name is Tammie Chasteen, school nurse here at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. I am excited to be returning this year to take care of your children. I am married with four grown children, and seven great grandchildren. I have been doing nursing for over thirty years, and specifically school nursing for over twenty years. I enjoy hiking, traveling and doing medical mission work in Africa. Looking forward to a great school year!

I have been associated with the school for about 11 years as a parent, volunteer and employee. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats , so when I am not at work I am usually hanging with my pets. Hello there, My name is Valerie Coon, and I’m excited to be part of the team as a Health Paraprofessional. I’m passionate about supporting students and helping create a safe, healthy school environment. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me building Legos, or diving into the worlds of Star Wars and Harry Potter with my two boys. I love to travel. Our newest obsession is Scotland, can't wait to go back. I'm so excited it's going to be an amazing school year.
