5th Grade

Overview
Fifth grade is the final stop on a student’s elementary journey, providing opportunities to deepen learning and prepare for the transition to middle school. Students explore classic literature, including The Adventures of Don Quixote and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, expand mathematical understanding through discovery-based learning, and study the Civil War and the founding of the United States. In addition, students develop financial literacy and real-world skills through AmeriTowne, investigate Earth and space science, and engage in hands-on experiments such as dissecting a fetal pig. The year offers a rich combination of growth, discovery, and memorable learning experiences.
