Dear Families,

 

At Rocky Mountain Classical Academy, we are incredibly proud of our military-connected students and families. We recognize the unique strengths and challenges that come with military life, and we are committed to ensuring that every family feels supported, seen, and valued within our school community.

 

As we move into the coming weeks, we have several special events planned to provide support and celebrate the service of our military members and veterans.

Muffins with Military: Coffee with Admin

We invite you to join us for "Muffins with Military," a special edition of our Coffee with Admin series. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with our principal, school counselors, and military liaison to learn more about the various resources and services our school provides to support our military students and their families. Whether you are looking for specific assistance or simply want to learn more about the available support systems, we would love to see you there.

  • When: Thursday, October 29th at 9:00 AM

  • Where: The Welcome Center

Annual Veteran’s Day Assembly

On Wednesday, November 11th, we will host our annual Veteran’s Day Assembly. We extend a heartfelt invitation to all our military families, veterans, and veteran community members to join us as we honor your service.

  • When: Wednesday, November 11th at 8:30 AM

  • Where: Main Gym

  • Special Note: Following the assembly, our Students to Students (S2S) students will have the honor of serving breakfast to our guests.

Every year, our S2S students take the lead in planning and hosting this assembly. The hard work, leadership, and dedication these students pour into this event are a true testament to their deep support and respect for our military families and community members.

Action Items for Veteran's Day:

Please review the attached assembly flyer carefully, as it contains three important items:

  • 1. RSVP: Please let us know if you will be attending.

  • 2. Student Recognition: We would like to provide our identified military students with purple beaded necklaces to wear throughout the day; please provide your consent on the form.

  • 3. Student Shout-Outs: We are seeking consent for students who wish to be recorded giving a special "shout out" to a military family member.

S2S Military Art Contest & Display

Finally, our S2S students are organizing an art display and contest to be showcased during the Veteran’s Day assembly. We encourage all students, regardless of military affiliation, to participate and express their gratitude through art. Please see the attached flyer for submission rules and deadlines.
