It is with great excitement and enthusiasm to introduce myself, as one of RMCA’s K-8 Assistant Principal’s this school year. I am honored to be in this position and look forward to serving our incredible students, staff, and community once again as I approach my 8th year here at RMCA. Throughout my time in the educational field, I have worked as a K-6 elementary teacher, Gifted & Talented Coordinator, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal.
When you don’t see me within the educational setting, I can usually be found four-wheeling or hiking 14’ers in our beautiful Rocky Mountains with my family. I have been married for eight years to my incredibly supportive husband, Ben, and have two wonderful children, Emma (age 10) and Landon (age 8), both who have attended RMCA since kindergarten.
RMCA’s staff and administration believe in every child’s ability to learn and thrive in a supportive and caring learning environment. As an educator and instructional leader, I believe in approaching all situations with a student-centered, team approach. Doing what is best for our students is critically important, and this enables children to grow and excel in all areas. I hope to add value to the leadership team at RMCA through integrating the shared values of personal growth, resiliency, diverse opportunities, and engagement. I am confident, that together, we can make RMCA an even better place for our students to learn and grow.
I am honored to be a part of the Rocky Mountain Classical Academy team. I have worked in education for 16 years. My mission as the Dean of Students is to maintain a positive learning environment for all students. I aim to support students in making good decisions and learning life skills, while embracing the traits of an RMCA Knight: Kindness, Nobility, Initiative, Generosity, Honesty, Trustworthy, and Self-Awareness. Together strong bonds are formed and true communities are established with the collective goal of student achievement. I look forward to building strong partnerships and positive relationships with our students, families, and staff.
Jeff Stone is married to Rebecca and they have four children. All four of his children have attended or are currently attending RMCA. Jeff served previously as a member of RMCA's board of directors (2015 - 2017). He is a former educator who has taught elementary, middle, high, and undergraduate school students. He received his Master's degree in Counseling in 2007 and has specialized in child and adolescent counseling. He spends his free time hiking, golfing, playing and watching soccer, and gaming with his kids.
Aloha! What an honor to be in my third year here at RMCA! This is my 17th year as a school counselor, and RMCA Middle School is still the PERFECT place for me to meet and work with the most incredible young people and their families!! When I'm not at school, my husband and I enjoy watching football, baseball, and an occasional hockey game. (I'm also a big Disney fan!) AND, we LOVE being Puna and Papa to five beautiful grand-babies (two here in Colorado Springs and three in Arizona)! I am SO excited about this 2019/20 school year!
