2nd Grade Team

Gagnon   Jessica Gagnon, Team Lead

This is my 6th year at RMCA teaching 2nd grade. I have loved all of the relationships I have been able to form with so many amazing kiddos and incredible families at this school. I was born and raised in Colorado Springs. I went to Pine Creek High School and worked at a Montessori school through high school and some of college. I went to CSU in Fort Collins for my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and went through their ECE program to get my teaching license for Early Childhood Education. I worked as a tutor and at an after school program in elementary schools during college. I am extremely relational and believe that building strong relationships with my students is the most important step in their journey of education in my classroom. I believe that setting high expectations for student character and behavior is essential for effective learning and a positive classroom culture. I really enjoy American Sign Language and incorporate it within my classroom. Outside of teaching, I love to be with my family, spend time with my high school youth group students, hike with my pup, be outdoors, do yoga, and have game nights with friends.

Hi! My name is Greta Garvey and I teach 2nd grade here at RMCA. This is my fourth year of teaching, but third year at RMCA. My first year I taught 2nd grade and the last two I taught 3rd grade. I absolutely love being with kids and finding fun ways for them to learn. I am a strong believer in showing students that its okay to make mistakes and that we grow from them

I am originally from Waterloo, Iowa. I graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. This is my second year at RMCA and I am grateful to be part of such a great community! When I am not at school I enjoy reading and spending time with my dog, Rami. I look forward to facilitating learning and growth in the classroom and partnering with RMCA families.

I am a Colorado Native, born in Greeley Colorado. I graduated from UCCS with my Bachelors in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English. This is my second year at RMCA, and my 3rd year teaching! I love the RMCA Community and am excited for this new school year!

My name is Kayla Lehr and this is my first year teaching at RMCA. I just graduated from UCCS in May of 2019 with my Bachelors in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Geography. Prior to working at RMCA, I worked as a pre-school teacher for 3 years at PPCC and UCCS. I am a mom of three little boys, Troy, Shawn, and Addison and I enjoy living in this beautiful state of Colorado. I am happy to be at RMCA to start off my life-long passion of teaching.
