I am a Colorado Springs Native and am married to my high school sweetheart, Gabriel – also a Native.  We have two adult children and two grandchildren.  Nature, quilting, gardening, spending time with family and adventuring/traveling bring me much joy.  Serving in the capacity of ‘Admin’ is my true passion and expertise – I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the RMCA Team and community.

Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Principals

I moved to Colorado Springs in spring 2018 from the Los Angeles area where I was the Executive Assistant to the President of a community college for eight years. I come to RMCA from District 20. I have a daughter and two grandchildren who live here in Colorado Springs and I love working at the school where my grandson attends. I enjoy the outdoors, crafting, and spending time with my family, including our dog and four cats.

John Ballew, is a Project Manager that brings his many years designing, estimating and project managing landscapes to Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. As the Facilities Director he aims to maintain the building and grounds environment which enhances the ability for staff and students to work and learn.

 I have been employed in the school system for about 10 years.  This is my first year at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy, I am married and have one son and one daughter.  My son is married and we have been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren! In my spare time I enjoy crafting, driving to the mountains and spending time with my family.

I grew up in New Orleans and Houston and recently moved to Colorado Springs in June of 2018 with my husband. I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and worked as a science teacher in Dallas, TX before moving to Colorado Springs. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling domestically and internationally, hiking, and learning Korean.

I've been a part of the RMCA family since the 2013-2014 school year.  I'm a Colorado native along with my husband and two children.  Both my children have attended Rocky Mountain Classical Academy since their kindergarten year.  I have a son who is now a sophomore at Vista Ridge and this will be my daughter's last year here at RMCA.  I've been married to my wonderful husband for 19 years and we enjoy traveling, skiing, golfing and camping as a family.

With a background in Elementary Education, I got into Tech Support over 15 years ago...and now I support Technology needs in Education. I love supporting the Teachers, and being an integral part of the education of so many students. I now Coach the Freshmen team at Sand Creek High School. I was the Head Coach for RMCA Football for 4 years, and finished with a 17-3 record over my last 3 seasons including winning the Central Colorado Athletic League Championship following an undefeated season in 2021. I'm happily married to the kindest person on Earth, and have been blessed with 2 sons who have attended RMCA.

My name is Mrs. Kettinger and this is my 6th year at RMCA. I am thrilled to be one of the Instructional Coaches and S2S sponsor. I am originally from Tampa, Florida where I attended the University of South Florida for my Undergraduate Studies in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. I then attended the University of Phoenix, Tampa Campus, for my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and am currently obtaining my Master of Science in Educational Leadership. My husband is a helicopter pilot in the United States Army Reserves and a civilian Air Traffic Controller here in Colorado Springs. We have two wonderful children, Mackenzie (10) and Jackson (9), who also attend RMCA. We are a family that loves being outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, attending sports games, and traveling the world while immersing ourselves in new cultures and making lifelong memories.

I am an instructional coach at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy beginning her 15th year in education. I recently became a Nationally Board Certified Master Teacher and have over a decade of experience teaching middle school language arts. At RMCA, I love to work in partnership with staff, students, and community in order to support our amazing instructional vision!

I am a Colorado Springs native. I have 10 years experience working in Special Education. This is my first year at RMCA. I have been married for over 20 years and I have 3 wonderful sons.

Mrs. Warren is in her fourth year as a reading interventionist at RMCA. Originally from Oklahoma, she obtained her bachelor's degree in education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She has extensive training in early literacy including SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics and Sight Words).Mrs. Warren enjoys teaching students of all ages and has experience as a reading tutor.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, taking her dog for walks, and spending time with friends and family.

Hello!  My name is Latoya and this is my first year at RMCA  and my first year as a literacy interventionist. I am from Georgia and I have been living in the Rockies for 10 years with my awesome husband, our brilliant daughter, and our wonderful dog. I enjoy bodybuilding, gymnastics, running, dancing, warm weather and beaches. I miss living in the south, but I have grown to enjoy snow days!

My name is Samantha Martinez and this is my first year at RMCA, and second year as an Interventionist. I graduated from William J. Palmer High School in 2016 and earned my Associates degree in Psychology from Pikes Peak State College in 2021. I plan to earn my Masters degree from UCCS. When I'm not working I love watching and playing sports, being out in beautiful nature, going to church, and spending time with my loved ones.

My name is Tammie Chasteen, and I am your School nurse for Rocky Mountain Classical Academy.   I am a wife, mother and grandmother.  I have done pediatrics and school nursing for most of my nursing career. I am retired but continue to do nursing because I enjoy the medical field.  I do medical mission work in Africa and love hiking.
