3rd Grade Team
My name is Lindsey Kelly and this is my 3rd year teaching at RMCA. I graduated from Kansas State University in May 2017 with a degree in elementary education. I married my husband, George Kelly, in July of 2017. I had my son, James in 2019 and he will be 1 year old in December. I am from Shawnee Kansas, and currently live in Woodland Park, Colorado. I love being a part of the lives and education of children! Our classroom motto that I try to instill into my students is: "Not always sunny, but always in a sunny state of mind" - Lilly Pulitzer.
When I was twelve, I knew that I wanted to teach elementary school. Through the years, I worked in lunch rooms, volunteered in classrooms, was a classroom aide, and did several years of substitute teaching. Helping children learn more about themselves and the world is one of my favorite parts of teaching. I have been at RMCA since it began in 2006, teaching 4th, 1st, and now my second year in 3rd grade. My two adult daughters live in Colorado Springs: one is a first grade teacher and one is an artist. When I'm not at school, I can be found with a good book and cup of tea, enjoying the mountain air, traveling, or spending time with good friends and family.
I am Allison Janiec. I was born in Colorado and lived in the Springs for fourteen years. I grew up in a military family and we moved to Virginia and lived there for ten years.
